It was a very warm day.  The cicadas were “whir-whir-whirring” and even the shade felt heavy.  Heading over to Lane’s home, we noted though, how blue the sky was and how green the grass.  What a summer day!

Lane’s family was busy snacking and eating, talking and catching up.  Most traveling so far to be with the ones they love so much.  I snuck a few pics of the dress hanging on a delicate hook.

 
We hurried on over to the Spirit Ranch.  Lane and Arnold had chosen to do a First Look and he was already there…waiting for his bride.  So calm and happy and handsome.  

All smiles and grins.  Twinkles in eyes.  Cheeks blushing and hands clasped.  They met.

Lane and Arnold tucked away for just awhile.  Guests arrived and sat.  The sun began to set.

One of my favorites from the ceremony…..it was a beautiful, touching sermon.

 The sun was intense through the trees…but no one cared.  Everyone had their eyes on these two.  And they had eyes only for each other.  

 


The reception was lovely. I count my lucky stars everytime I get to work with Jill Leven of Eat Drink and Be Marry.  Her sense of detail, beautiful spirit and organized mind make many a bride (and this certain photographer) very, very happy.  

The floral design by Garden Works was soft and tumbly (is that a word?) in the wedding colors of purple and lime.   So lovely.

Delicious and beautiful?  Yes.  Wonderful pearlescent cake by the one and only Vida King of Sweet Temptations.

Can we say partytime?  Yes we can.  The music was hoppin’ thanks to West Texas DJ Service.   I don’t know that I’ve ever shot a wedding where really and truly *everyone* was dancing.  Soo fun!

Lane and Arnold were literally some of the neatest, most loving, spirited people I have had the privilege of capturing. I was so blessed by their generosity, their family and their day will forever remain truly special to me.

One last image that I’ve posted before.  Somehow it just gets to me.  Hand in hand.  As they should be….
