This past weekend, the Pastel Society of the West Coast interviewed me for their feature “We Talk Art.” Since moving my studio and revealing my diagnosis, I haven’t had a chance to talk much about art. I had a wonderful hour of chatting and visiting with host Bonnie Griffith.
I’ve had many life pathways with all manners of creating and creativity. From my earliest memories of making art, to school passions and beyond, each has woven a thread of artistry in my life.
This is a good video to have on in the background. Listen to it while you putter around your studio or house!
I share some paintings and talk through their creation at around the 31:00 mark, so don’t miss my little nuggets. Some of my favorite papers and supplies I talk about are here:
I really enjoyed taking the time to share my journey into pastels. There is nothing like the kind and wonderful artist community to share the love and art spirit! Thank you to the PSWC for asking me to do this!
