What type of dog?

May 19, 2005

are you?  Find out here.  (the link is in the right hand column, towards the bottom)

I'm a Shiba Inu.

Here is my temperament:

(Okay this part is pretty good)

A spirited boldness, a good nature, and an unaffected forthrightness, which together yield dignity and natural beauty. The Shiba has an independent nature and can be reserved toward strangers but is loyal and affectionate to those who earn his respect.

(This part isn't so good)

At times aggressive toward other dogs, the Shiba is always under the control of his handler. Any aggression toward handler or judge or any overt shyness must be severely penalized.

(This part is bad)

Serious Fault: Five or more missing teeth is a very serious fault and must be penalized.

I'm Bethany

Hee hee — somehow I can’t picture you with missing teeth. You’ve got such a gorgeous smile. 😀
    Carmen.

  2. Carmen says:

    Okay, I did the test.
    I’m a German Spitz (Mittel/Medium).
According to the info on the site, it’s difficult to place their origin, but they “clearly have ancestry in Arctic dogs, probably from Siberia.” “Active, intelligent and alert, this dog is also a devoted family pet. The German Spitz can adapt to life in the town or country but if left unchecked it has a tendency to yap, which can drive the neighbours insane.”
Okay… how freakily accurate is that?!
Carmen, born to yap. (And also of Germanic ancestry including 200 years in Russia; has worked in the Baltics and travelled to Russia and currently lives in northern Canada.)

    Very cool link Bethany! 🙂

Overt shyness? I don’t think you have to worry about being penalized. 😉
    I’m a pekingese. Check this out, man…
“In some people’s eyes, this dog combines the grace of a lion and the sweetness of a marmoset. To others it is a totally bizarre freak with a face like a bomb crater and a body like a mouldy sausage…”
Okay, in the words of Carmen, how freakily accurate is that?! ROFL!!!!!
“But this dog has dignity and a mind of its own. Intelligent and fearless, it won’t balk at a muddy field but still enjoys the role of pampered, evil spirit dissuader.”
Thanks for the fun test, B!
