I spent all day yesterday matting and mounting artwork and each time I added that crisp white mat, my heart swooned!  It is so delightful to see a painting take shape.  So many times, these paintings done as studies sit in their folders and drawers, away from being enjoyed by others. It takes many steps before they hang on your walls and each is important, done with care and lots of thought.
