When I first started sharing my photos on my blog – oh say 10 years ago (yes I’ve had a blog for that long!) I was so afraid to share “unedited” moments.  I thought if people knew (as a photographer) that a lot of my pictures were crappy I wouldn’t get hired.  My desaturated, blurry life just wasn’t as pretty as one I could photoshop.  Fast forward to this video I made of our unedited summer.  Playing with the video function of my new camera and absolutely 100% not knowing what I was doing.  iPhone photos that are fuzzy and raw.  Pictures where we have zits (yes, me as an adult) and wrinkles that aren’t edited out.   I love it.

I don’t make these videos to advertise the “perfect life” I lead.  We are messy and fuzzy and the days that go by are blurry sometimes. When I put these moments together and view these snapshots from “above” it’s magical how it comes together for me.  I just sometimes cannot see the moment when I’m in it.
