I have so many pictures to share and funny stories. I had originally intended to make a uber-long post about all the goings on around here in the past several months but then decided to change my banner (like it?) and that kept me click, click, clicking until now I don’t have time for my mentioned uber-long post. But I will share pics and a few tid-bits of our times as of late.
The 1980’s were such a glorious age. Big hair. Lots of blue eyeshadow. Adidas and lace and petticoats with boots. Curling irons and a LOT of hairspray. Cool giant earrings and boomboxes and headphones. So what’s the story of this picture? Why a fabulous 80’s party of course! (and yes, I’m posting pictures from Halloween…yikes I’m so behind!) The fun thing about this picture is that I did not buy a single thing for my outfit. The wonderful thing about being an actor and having a mom who is a saver is that you can trek up into your attic and find everything you could possibly need for a really radical outfit. Fer sure! But my hair had so much hairspray in it that I had to comb it for like a whole hour after the party was over. Gag me with a spoon.
One month later and you have our family Thanksgiving picture. This was funny and a tad cold! We were all commenting on the fact that our poor babies (my sister also has a cute wee one) were not dressed for the cold and yet the Grandpas in attendance were all bundled up. It’s always interesting to see what kind of picture we’ll get when we all pile in together. I look at this picture and think "I have THREE kids?? When did this happen? I’m a cool young chic!"
Next up is Christmas decorating time. Benjamin was much more "into" it this year and decorated his little tree in his room and our tree in the living room with great glee. Of course I love his little "section" of our main tree with *all* of the silver Christmas ornaments at his eye level and clumped all together. But he was so proud of it. 🙂
I’ve been catching him in pictures a lot lately with this particular "I’m three and I don’t smile unless I want to" look. It’s so him and I love it.
Next up is little Colin. He’s had some fun things going on lately! To sum it all:
- lost his front tooth (see cute picture!)
- 1st grade Christmas program (he was a penguin)
- he won his 1st grade read-a-thon (and $75 smackers!)
- has a birthday parth tomorrow
- got to read for the Principal at his school
- had "Polar Express" day at school today (got to wear his pj’s)
- just all around cute and adorable
Of course I won’t leave out Missa Prissa. She has been growing and growing. Loves her peas and carrots and is practically crawling. I’m starting to have to really baby-proof and edit the items the boys play with around her as she is totally interested in the tiny little things they play with. I have been making her little bows and hairclips and just the other day bought the.cutest.Christmas.dress. I can’t wait to take her picture in it! She is smiley and happy and does this hilarious "nose-crinkle" thing while waving her arms like mad. Her hair is growing in a ton and she giggles and sleeps well and is just the best baby! As Benjamin says…."I wu her."
Check out today’s TVWeekly.com show about creating a pretty kaleidoscope star. See those cute boys? They’re mine!! 😉
Of course no post would be complete without at least a word or two about my wee little shop. I’ve uploaded some new hearts, new ponytail holders and some of my Creative Sparks jewelry was featured on the front page yesterday! 🙂 This red and green large clipp has to be my new favorite though…I almost didn’t list it it’s so pretty….
Wow! This turned out not to be such a sad short post afterall!
TGIF!

Dude, the 80’s picture is DOPE!!! (even though “dope” is such a 90’s word…)
Love the backlog, Bethany! 🙂
