Yes it was this cold.  Yes, my kids thought I was crazy when I pulled over, got out of the car while it was snowing and proceeded to take pictures.  You see they're used to me pointing my cameras at *them* – not at cute cold horses dressed in fancy coats.  Benjamin was quite confused by this.  "Why do they have coats on?  They already have coats!"  At this point, I couldn't disagree.  Then people drove by and thought I was weird and suspicious so I got self-conscious (must work on that).  

Or maybe they were thinking "look at the crazy photographer that isn't wearing a coat in the snow!  While she's taking pictures of horses wearing coats!!" 

So I got back into the car, tucked away the camera and we were on our way.
