Okay I’m really not a "recipe of the day" type of person but really want to be. I wish I had the time to cook more…and the ingredients and the love of grocery shopping. But I don’t so I do what I can do.
I’m really inspired by people who love to cook and make beautiful, easy dishes. While I love homemade Macaroni and Cheese, it’s more often that we have Annie’s boxed mac ‘n cheese gracing our table. But anyway…on with the easy recipe!!
Dump Cake
1 can crushed pineapple (the larger size)
1 can cherry pie filling
1 stick margarine (melted)
1 yellow cake mix
DUMP above ingredients (except margarine) in a metal or glass 13×9 pan. Drizzle melted margarine over the ingredients and then pop in preheated 325 degree oven (follow 13×9 instructions on cake mix box) for 30-35 minutes. Enjoy fruity cobbler-like deliciousness immediately.
Now this is a recipe I can love. Easy. Few ingredients. No prep time (unless getting the can opener out of the drawer counts). Every now and then, I’ll spring for the homemade apple pie, but in our busy lives, Dump Cake just fits.

I was given this recipe was a newlywed. Boy did I really need it then! I had forgotten about it. I guess I need to do it again!
