It’s Fall Y’all

September 20, 2024

Terracotta and natural ochre colors are having a moment, have you noticed? Warm rusts, cozy oranges, deep mustards, I love them all! I like to pull out my fall decorations for home about this time of year. I scatter them around my home to create a cozy vibe. I don’t usually store a lot of seasonal items (ahem, except Christmas) and prefer to source things that will don’t take up a ton of space.

With that said, if you’re looking for something fresh to pop into your wardrobe, home, or kitchen, I’ve found some cute things I loved! This blanket is so cute and affordable!

I really like these velvet ribbon sets (they come in lots of colors) for gift-giving and diy projects. (I also found these chiffon ribbons for a lighter look). I have so much ribbon I’ve saved over the years and always find it handy.

This pretty floral tapestry is hanging in my teenage daughter’s room and adds a nice late summer/autumn vibe. Teenagers are all about the “aesthetic” of something and she is very particular about her decor. We have a very similar vibe – a little bit boho, traditional, and whimsical!

My own “aesthetic?” I grabbed two of these pillow covers to update my couch (to pair with the blanket) and this wooden pumpkin will look so cute in my fall tablescape! I’m still into sourdough and this bread basket/platter is so unique and pretty.

Since my cancer diagnosis, I’m trying to elimiate as much plastic from our home as possible. These amber glass pump bottles are pretty on the countertop for soaps and lotions, or would work in the shower as well – so much better than ugly plastic store packaging!

Finally, I couldn’t help but include this pretty Madewell tote bag. The color and depth it adds to any outfit is so beautiful, especially with your cute fall looks. I’ve had a Madewell bag for years and they are definitely Made Well!

Being a pastelist and a lover of natural pigments, I’m so happy for the ochre movement right now!

xoxo,

B
